NATIONAL FOOD DAY – October 24
National Food Day emphasizes on our daily healthy and nutritious food. On October 24th of each year this day is observed.
Eating healthy is one of the main theme to help people to “Eat well.” This objective is to reduce and cut down on sugar drinks, unhealthy salted packaged foods and fatty, factory-farmed meats in replace our habit of eating vegetables, fruits, whole grains and sustainably raised protein. Some of the most prominent food activists bring out attention of such issues through out the world. The groups vision includes food that can be healthy, affordable and produced. Also, the goal is to produce food which is good for the environment.
There were 3,200 events In 2012 that took place from various community festivals to a national conference in Washington, D.C. to thousands of school activities.

NATIONAL FOOD DAY HISTORY
National Food Day 2011 was observed by The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI). Grassroots campaign for better food policies is the objective which is celebrated nationwide for healthy, affordable and sustainably produced food. This program is observed all year round and culminates on October 24th of each year.
